Please note that some or all of the objects mentioned in this post are no longer visible on Google Earth or Google Maps.

Here at Yarm School Teesside, England, the pupils are performing better than most in the schools league tables. They’ve also impressively managed to get themselves featured on GSS, by drawing a picture on the roof of one of their school’s buildings…

Congratulations kids, you’ve very likely created the only visible penis on Google Earth.

Update: Reader Evan found this awesome (and much larger and therefore better) penis drawn on the surface of a frozen pond in Connecticut!

Thanks to Matt and Evan.

Ah but, no. Here is a chilly penis, drawn in the snow on a frozen pond in Connecticut.

  2. Peter says:

That is hilarious, it’s probably gone unnoticed for years, Big Brother really is watching and some kid is going to get a week of detentions for that!

  3. WRA says:

Too funny, Evan. I couldn’t see it at first, had to adjust my monitors contrast. BIG DIFFERENCE! Literally!

  4. Lee says:

    Read that in the Sun.
I’d find a link to the article, but I’m tired =[

  5. Alex says:

Looks like you’re right Lee, here it is. Only one person submitted it though, which proves nothing except you lot don’t read the sun a lot apparently…

  6. Michael says:

    Evan,

Just don’t eat the yellow snow! (A lot of you were thinking it — someone had to say it!)

  7. nh606 says:

I saw the S*n link to the Yarm one on Fark.com a couple of days back. The chilly one is a good find though… Is anyone else suprised that the chilly one isnt suffering from shrinkage? :)

Not the only penis on Google Earth there’s the Cerne Abbas Giant in Dorset too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerne_Abbas_Giant. The giant, carved in solid lines from the chalk bedrock measures in at 180 feet high.

  9. nh606 says:

from memory - i think cerne abbas is low res or was last time i looked

  10. Alex says:

The Cerne Abbas giant is indeed in low res on GM/E, but high res if you look in Live Local.

Here’s the silly penis and balls man, he might have been the inventor of baseball. Either way he is very ballsy.
