Extreme Parking

Parking in the Hague has got so difficult that some people are having to take extreme measures - parking on the side of buildings!

This is actually the work of artist Theo van Laar, who has continued the car park markings up the wall and attached a gravity-defying Mini. At night time the car’s headlights even light up! You can see the work from the ground during the day or at night.

In Rotterdam (The Netherlands) an artist has done something quite similar.
This is a BMW that looks like it’s had a really bad accident and almost drove of the rooftop-parking:

It’s possible to see the BMW in this image, but you can easily mis it (it’s in the shadow of the tall building).
    Here’s a ground-level photo:

Hmmm….in the day time picture, the shadows from the tires can be seen, but nothing else…such as attachments to keep the Mini in place.

In the UK in the early 80’s a well known brand of wallpaper paste ran an ad campaign where a chair was stuck to the wall and a man sat on it. They took this to its logical conclusion and i have very vivid memories of a proper car attached to an advertising hoarding apprently just stuck on by wallpaper paste.
    Does anyone else remember this?
I’m afraid i dont have a link to a Google Map Placemark because the time machine function on my laptop has been disabled but believe it or not there is still a advertising hoarding in the same position all these years later so if your computer has a time travel function and set it to around 1982 you may be able to see a Ford Cortina stuck to the side of this hoarding:

There is another example of this type of thing on the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. However, Maps does not have good enough resolution for the area, and I can’t seem to find any pictures of it.

there’s a billboard in times square with a full-sized jeep wrangler attached to it. it’s on the north side of the marriott marquis.

it’s a nice piece of art.
but if you look verry close you will see that on the other side of the street a bus is park against the wall
