Paris Hilton’s Prison Cell
Friday, 8th June 2007 by Alex Turnbull
Paris Hilton, heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune, was recently sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation when she was caught driving at 70mph in a 35mph zone, as her license had been suspended for a previous drink driving offence.
Before she ever got to prison however, her sentence was reduced to 23 days - and yesterday, after only three full days, Paris was released from jail to spend the rest of her sentence under house arrest.
That's right, she's now confined to her very own 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2.707 square foot, $1.7 million home in the West Hollywood hills for the rest of her sentence.
Tough break Paris.
I don’t watch the news or keep up with Paris so this is the first time I’ve heard this.
On one had I feel this is a total joke that she can get away with all this and face no real jail time just because of who she is.
But on the other hand I’m assuming they paid a heck of a lot of money to get her out of jail. She’s obviously not a criminal and hopefully the money they paid will help the police (or whoever else they paid) catch real criminals.
Making mockery of US judicial system. Not the first time, not the last time.
And now she’s back in jail again. How time flies…
John, what makes you say “she’s obviously not a criminal”?
She broke the law fair and square – there is a lot of evidence to prove this – so to the contrary I would say she obviously IS a criminal.
Now she is back in jail where she belongs – serving out the punishment for her crime.
GYAHHHH!
Can somebody PLEASE tell me what’s supposed to be so interesting about that ugly drunken whore?!?! I could not care less about her, but evidently I’m missing something because even bloggers from Scotland are talking about her.
So, what’s the deal with her? I didn’t see anything about the Darfur updates but here some brain-dead celebrity gets a post.
Oh yeah, the Darfur updates. I guess I should submit those if I want to see them on here. I’ll get right on it.
Tim, you’re absolutely right. My brain has become warped due to the utter nonsense continually spouted at me from the TV/Papers/radio/net. I’ll write up that Darfur update next week.
What? Paris has been the “new JFK Jr.” for years. By that I mean rich, beautiful Americans from self-made families. The fascination is the wealth and glamour that follows these folks for generations. Paris has done nothing near as bad as many of the Kennedy’s – nobody died, got raped, or overdosed. And what about that rapper who tinkled on a 13 year old girl while she was giving him head? He hasn’t done time. Finally, I think a new season of the Simple Life could have been filmed had she been home jailed – that’s the real tragedy in all of this.
I think the truly sad part of the Paris Hilton saga is the billions upon billions of electrons horribly forced out of their resting places in order to spread word of her exploits…
