New Imagery in Google Earth October 07

The Google Latlong Blog has posted an announcement of new and updated 60cm satellite imagery in Google Earth and Google Maps.

As with the last update the list of what’s new is formatted as a set of clues which you have to solve. But if you’re feeling lazy then Google Earth Blog has all the answers!

There’s 130 countries updated with the new images, so get suggesting those sights!

Update: new imagery now available in Google maps!

    There’s some pretty stunning-looking reflections on the Sea of Galilee in Israel. Most of it appears to be clouds, but there’s a small bit of ‘weirdness’ in the top from the satellite.

    @DP: I assume you’re joking, but just in case you’re not…

    The 07 refers to the year, not the day (as in 2007). The update is available in Google Earth now.

    Finally my town is on Google Earth!
    It is unique town in Croatia, because all street in center of town are parallel and vertical!

    It is plan made town (in 1756 - 250 years ago) by Austrian empress Maria Theresa. Today, park in center of town win award for “most beautiful square in Croatia”:)
