6 Years of Google Sightseeing

Wednesday, 6th April 2011 by

Unbelievably (for us at least) today is the sixth anniversary of the the first ever post on Google Sightseeing, which was an aerial view of a MIckey Mouse-shaped lake at Disney World, Florida1.

We’re very glad to still be here, and would like to thank our writers past and present for all their hard work over the years, and of course all of you who have been reading the site, contributing sights and leaving comments.

We’re always interested in what our readers think of the site, so we’d like to extend this opportunity for you to send us any feedback on how you’d like us to improve the site over the coming year, either as a comment here or via our feedback form.

Thanks again for reading, we can’t wait to see where the next six years take us!

  1. On our fourth birthday we posted a roundup of how the imagery has changed since those first couple of posts. ↩︎
